Alexander Schaufler's 1920 Ballot 3 8 LC

1920 ballot at hampton court

Alexander Schaufler and his co-driver really got into the spirit of things during the 2019 Concours of Elegance, resplendent in period racing attire as they demonstrated their 1920 Ballot 3/8 LC Grand Prix racer. A siginificant piece of motorsport history in many ways, this was one of the most advanced cars of the 1920's featuring the first viable straight eight engine and winning the very first Italian Grand Prix. Later in life, its first private owner would be none other than Sir Malcolm Campbell, who successfully raced it at Brooklands under the name 'Bluebird'...
