1957 aston martin dbr1s at goodwood
Goodwood fielded a duo of 1957 Aston Martin DBR1 sportscars at the 2019 Revival as part of their special demonstration celebrating sixty years of the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy race. The Duke of Richmond was also seen to be enjoying time at the wheel of Adrian Beecroft's car around the Revival paddock. Stirling Moss and Roy Salvadori started the 1959 RAC TT on poll in a DBR1, with Moss leading into the driver change. However, a fuel fire during the pitstop took the car out of the race. Aston Martin took the decision to switch Moss into their Shelby / Fairman as a last ditch attempt to win. Which he promptly did...
