Or to give this beautiful creation it's full title, this is a 1952 Ferrari 212 / 225 Inter Berlinetta by Vignale. This car is chassis number 0237EU. Early in it's history, it's original 212 engine was replaced by the larger 225 (2.7 litre) V12, before being driven to victory at the 1953 Coppa Intereuropa at Monza. Following time in the USA between the end of the decade and 1980, the car returned to Italy where it was owned and raced for two decades by a collector who competed in the Mille Miglia nine times in the car, before selling in 2005 for almost $400,000. This was maybe the highlight car for me at the 2018 London Concours, held on the Honourable Artillery Company lawns. The details are sublime and evocative...
