The first car to elicit an immediate stop and stare response upon waking through the entrance of the 2019 Concours of Elegance was this impossibly pretty Ferrari. This particular 1954 500 Mondial is owned by Paul Hobden. It is one of only five Series 1 Mondials bodied by Scaglietti, to a drawings made by Dino Ferrari himself. It was first raced to third place in the 1955 Coppa Mare a Monti by original owner Guido Petracchi before being shipped to Ethiopia where it entered and won the Ethiopian Grand Prix. Rediscovered 15 years later, restoration and further racing followed, recently entering the 2018 Mille Miglia...
