long nose jaguar d-types at goodwood

A stunning pair of long nosed Ecurie Ecosse Jaguar D-types took part in the 1959 RAC TT Special Demonstration at the 2019 Goodwood Revival. Clive Beecham's 1956 car XKD603 was the sole Jaguar to contest the 1959 TT, coming home in 7th place. Clive had the car re-numbered (from it's usual number 15) especially for the event. in 1957 XKD603 finished second in the Le Mans 24 hour. The 1955 car XKD504 (number six) contested the RAC TT the previous year where it finished 5th. Jaguar built eleven long factory D-types (five in '55 and six in'56), of which only six cars remain today, so that's a third of them right here...
